Santa Ysabel Mission

This is a distant view of the Santa Ysabel Mission,  looking north from the Santa Ysabel East Preserve Hwy 79 Staging area. The purple hills and the golden tones of the fields were a perfect complement. A cool breeze blowing in from the west, the company of some painters from the San Diego Plein Air Painters Meetup group and nothing but the distant sound of Mission Bells to break the silence, made for a very pleasant morning.

This painting (above) "Santa Ysabel Mission" was juried into the LPAPA Forest and Ocean Gallery, as part of the "Last Days of Summer" LPAPA in Residience 2016 Exhibitions July 26-August 29. Here is Laguna Beach Mayor Steve Dicterow at the Awards Ceremony and Reception at Forest and Ocean Gallery, on August 6 2016.
